Our client is an established and privately-owned, building and estates management company with an impressive and continuously expanding portfolio of prime Central London residential buildings.

  • They are currently seeking an Assistant Block Manager with a minimum of 6 months of leasehold /estate / building portfolio management experience. IRPM Level 1 qualification is a bonus but not essential


Salary:

  • £30,000: Depending on experience and qualifications


Working Hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 9am to 5:30pm


Responsibilities of the Assistant Block Manager:

This role will involve assisting the Building Managers/Building Director in all aspects of managing buildings:

Duties will include:

  • Coordinate related administration and correspondence for building management

  • Draft and/or review Service Charge budgets

  • Liaison with Lessees, Tenants and RTA’s / RTC’s, including arranging and participating in General Meetings

  • Coordinate building insurance renewal and handling claims

  • Monthly building inspections and coordinate maintenance works

  • Supplier management, tendering works and client invoicing

  • Review specifications for minor and major works, including tendering for Surveyors when appropriate to manage the works contracts

  • H&SE requirements including all new legislation

  • Become familiar and assist in lease amendments, license for alterations, consents, share certificate changes

  • Participate in the review of Service Charge and Company Accounts at the end of the financial year

  • Promotion of the company's services to new clients

  • Prepare new clients/buildings to become operational


Required Skills of the Assistant Block Manager:

  • IRPM Level 1 qualified is desired but not essential

  • 6 months+ of block/building /estate management experience is essential for this role

  • Ideally, familiarity with VECO / Eurolink; training will be provided
