A number of Cable Pull and Sub-Duct Engineers (6x 2-man teams) are required for fibre network projects throughout Scotland. This is an opportunity for ongoing, long-term work, initially testing rodding and roping (TRR) in the existing BT (duct) network.

The work will initially start on the Scottish borders in East Lothian with new projects expanding into Central Scotland so will take teams from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, and as far as Dundee.

They are ideally looking for cable teams who are experienced on the BT network and can cover both disciplines, i.e., TRR and sub-ducting. In return, they offer a company van (for business use only, you must be able to provide secure parking), a fuel card, tools, equipment (iPad for schedule), Chapter 8 for each team and BT craft and safety training.


We are looking for a Cable Pull and Sub-Duct Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:

  • Hold a valid NRSWA Street Works operative license unit 2.

  • Sign, Lighting & Guarding (street works).

  • (Underground) UG Safety Card

  • Confined spaces (if held).

  • Experienced in TRR and sub-duct.

  • Full right to work in the UK unrestricted.

  • Full Driving License.

In return, a Cable Pull and Sub-Duct Engineer will receive a salary of£150 per day. Accommodation not covered
