A number of Fibre Engineers (Cable Pull and Sub-Ducting) (6x 2-man teams) are required for a fibre network project throughout Scotland. This is an opportunity for ongoing, long-term work, initially testing rodding and roping (TRR) in the existing BT (duct) network.
We have work on the Scottish borders in East Lothian with new projects that have expanded into Central Scotland so will take teams from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, and as far as Dundee.
Our client is looking for Fibre Engineers for cable teams who are experienced on the BT network and can cover both disciplines, i.e., TRR and sub-ducting.
In return, a Fibre Engineer will receive the following:
Vehicle (1 van per team of two for business use only)
Fuel card
Tools,
Equipment (iPad for schedule of works),
Chapter 8 for each team. Note: This will be managed by a Supervisor / Project Manager - whichever engineer keeps the van, they must be able to provide secure parking/garage.
BT craft and safety training will be arranged according to individual qualifications.
Rules around Safety & Quality will apply to all staff.
We are looking for Fibre Engineers who have the following skills and experiences:
Hold a valid NRSWA Street Works operative license unit 2.
Sign, Lighting & Guarding (street works).
(Underground) UG Safety Card
Confined spaces (if held).
Experienced in TRR and sub-duct.
Full right to work in UK unrestricted.
Full Driving License.
