Job Title: Network Programme Office Manager (Office Based)
Location: West Sussex.
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience).
Reports to: Managing Director.

Job Summary:

  • The Programme Office Manager is responsible for the co-ordination and in conjunction with the field delivery managers, delivery of all company build projects to agreed timescales and specifications.

  • Accountable for the permitting and Street Works back-office functions within the company including coordination of all FPN’s, Defects etc.

  • Accountable as single point of control between all relevant parties ensuring that every task has the necessary details/equipment and resource required to meet the agreed scheduled dates. This includes ensuring that all resources are optimally utilized across the business.


Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide project management, direction and control to all works completed by the company.

  • To establish and maintain key interfaces and relationships, both within the company and with any required external suppliers or partners.

  • Ensure internal and external reporting requirements of projects and programmes are collated, analysed and distributed to all required parties.

  • Ensure all permitting requirements are met.

  • To provide field teams with all relevant detail to ensure delivery within timelines and to agreed standards and legislation.

  • To manage changes in delivery scope by the use of appropriate ‘change control’ procedures as well as managing all risk and issues using established procedures.

  • Provides the appropriate reports and data to allow informed business decision making.

  • Continually informs field delivery teams of project status plus risks and issues pertinent to the delivery of works.

  • To create build delivery programmes in conjunction with field delivery managers/build managers.

  • To facilitate and host internal project review meetings.

  • Responsible for signing off field related costs ensuring programmes adhere to required budgets.

  • Manage and guide the PMO team ensuring work commitments and deadlines are met.



Knowledge and Skills:

  • Evidence of having directly managed large technical communication network delivery projects/programmes to a successful and cost-effective conclusion.

  • Experienced Project/Programme Manager, with the ability to interface across all levels of the business in order to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Sound knowledge of the UK Street Works permitting/noticing systems/regulations.

  • Strong customer facing and interpersonal skills with the ability to employ strong leadership skills especially through management of informal/virtual teams. Proven negotiation, conflict management and influencing skills.

  • Will have developed a clear understanding of the technology deployed by the company.

  • Proven ability to identify both project and business risk and to put in place mitigation plans.

  • Evidence as a team player with proven people skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to demonstrate confidence at all times, able to influence.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively to facilitate and co-ordinate wider group efforts to fulfil customer needs and have the ability to display a real customer empathy and ownership of issues.
