Due to the continued expansion of their successful residential block management business, our client is currently recruiting for a Trainee Block Manager to join their established (chartered) surveying practice in the Twickenham area

  • The company is a very well established chartered surveyors that provide residential leasehold and commercial block portfolio management services. With a residential leasehold portfolio of circa 3000+ units, the team is comprised of 25.


Salary:

  • £25,000- Depending on experience


Hours:

  • Monday to Friday:9am to 6pm OR 8am to 5pm


Trainee Block Manager - Responsibilities

  • Respond to leaseholder and client inquiries by email, telephone and post

  • Carry out regular inspections of properties under your portfolio and identify any maintenance issues

  • Oversee and respond to repairs and maintenance issues within set time frames

  • Liaise with accounts department on the management of service charge and ground rent arrears

  • Authorise contractor invoices prior to payment

  • Assist with the project management of major internal and external work

  • Ensure client files are updated and easily accessible

  • Circulate information to residents regarding any management issues

  • Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and that General and Fire risk assessment recommendations are implemented.


Requirements for this Trainee Block Manager role:

  • You should ideally have a proven track record working in residential property management or strong transferable skills and experience in similar roles.

  • The verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group and internal staff

  • The ability to research, analyse and reason logically and effectively within tight time frames.

  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel skills

  • Experience of working effectively in teams

  • Ability to work independently and to deadlines

  • A commitment to providing outstanding customer service

  • Must live within a 30-60 minute commute from the Twickenham area
