Contracts Manager - High-End Residential
Location: Highgate, NW London
Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + benefits.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager for one of their high-end residential developments based in Highgate, London. The project is RC frame 47 apartments with communal roof terraces on the 5th & 7th floor levels. It has not started on site yet so the candidate will be involved right from the start.
This is a permanent position with a salary of up to £85K. Our client would be open to seeing candidates with a salary expectation slightly above this so that they can make a commercial decision if it is the right candidate.
Following completion of a 3 month probation period, the successful candidate will be offered inclusion into their health insurance scheme, currently with Vitality. They also operate a workplace pension scheme.
The Contract Manager will need the following:
A proven track record of running larger multi-unit projects with values of around £10 to £15 million in value, that are residential with an element of commercial.
Experience in working with a developer, together with liaising with the technical designer and QS to ensure the project is delivered to specification, on time and within budget.
Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
A working knowledge of contracts.
Be adept at problem-solving.
Be able to build and maintain good working relationships with sub-contractors.
Have good leadership skills.
Have good attention to detail.
Be used to hitting tight deadlines where schemes are sold off-plan.
Be commercially aware.
